Who we are
Whether you are looking for answers about God and life, need help, or are looking for a church to belong to we are glad you found us! We are a growing community of believers who are honestly seeking to live out our faith in authentic and life-changing ways. We are a community of new believers and veterans in the faith. But the more we mature as disciples the more we realize that none of us are perfect and we are all relying on God’s grace.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19
To be a disciple is to intentionally follow Jesus, to learn from Jesus, and to do what Jesus does. A disciple of Jesus seeks to know God and to be the person God calls him or her to be.
To make disciples is to intentionally share with others the grace and love we know in Jesus Christ. Making disciples happens in the context of relationship. It happen through conversation, doing life together, spending time in God’s word and in prayer. To be a disciple of Jesus means to do what Jesus did, make disciples. We believe that being a disciple means making disciples – these two are inseparable.
and growing church
While our Mission is what we do our Vision is what we see. It is the plan God has for our church that includes what God is already doing and what he will do. What we see is a generous and growing church, where God is always doing something new! The new thing he does in each person, and collectively through this local body of believers.
We GROW disciples ROOTED in Jesus, who worship in AWE of God the Father. They are SENT out in love, with the POWER of the Holy Spirit to MULTIPLY the Kingdom of God.
This vision comes from the book of Acts, chapter 2, verses 42-47. It is a picture of the early church coupled with the promise God makes to do something new in each one of us, and in the Church of Christ.
We are looking for people who...
ARE NOT PERFECT
The church is not a country club for saints but a hospital for sinners.
WANT TO GROW
The mark of a new life in Christ is a desire to grow. We have plenty of opportunities for the whole family to grow.
We may not have all the answers but most likely we will have some answers to your questions about God and life in general. If you are not sure what you believe but want to explore the Christian life you will find a place to ask questions without feeling judged.
