Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Pastor Joon, with his parents and younger brother, moved to Sumter, South Carolina when he was in college. He began his ministry as a part-time youth pastor in 1990 and has been serving the Lord full-time since 1995 in various places including Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, Detroit, MI, and Columbus, OH.
He graduated with a BA in philosophy from University of South Carolina, and received his M. Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary and a Th. M. in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary.
With more than 30 years of full-time ministry experiences (including almost 21 years at the previous church in Columbus, OH), he has started his ministry at Woodstown Presbyterian Church in January 2026. He is married to Grace, and they have a son, Samuel.

The Great Commission
“Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. Our Leadership
Every 4th Wednesday of the month, at 7 PM, our Session—our church’s ruling body—gathers in the Conference Room. Our Deacons meet in the Coffee Spot. We are grateful for the Christ-centered leadership of the following Elders, Deacons, and Trustees.
